Some classes are non-performance and those that are performance classes can be attended by all but you will just have to let your teacher know that you do not wish to partake in any performances.
Ballet is the fundamental dance style, with dance technique and safe dance practise at its core. Contemporary/Lyrical is ballet’s offshoot style with more free flowing expressive, yet at times dynamic movement. These class will be a combination of the two styles. At Miss Zoe’s we do not do exams, rather we focus on teaching ballet & contemporary technique in a fun, yet challenging manner.
Jazz and hip hop are both popular style of dance and at Miss Zoe’s we focus on learning jazz technique, style, and performance skills. These fun, upbeat classes make use of current popular music with a focus on age-appropriate lyrics, costuming, and choreography choices. These high-energy, physical classes are great for fitness!
This fun stretch n fitness class will be a combination of stretching, toning exercises, agility training, and simple strength training with and without the assisted use of weights. There is a big focus on core strength and stability and students will increase their fitness levels through a differing weekly class. Students of all fitness levels are welcome as everyone works at their own ability throughout the class. The DanceFit component of the class will focus on learning a different style of dance each week – you do not need any experience and there is no performing which means you do not need to remember choreography week to week. This class is all about having a bit of fun whilst being active and getting fit – it is perfect for beginners!
