This class will include a stretch & warmup, cover basic technique & strength exercises for both styles, and a short choreography component to finish. This will be a non-performance class so choreography will change week to week and there is no need to remember a routine! Perfect for complete beginners, dancers with some experience who have never tried Jazz or Hip Hop, or those looking for a fun, casual, non-performing class.

OPEN DANCE CLASS FOR BEGINNERS
Are you keen to dance but not into performing or having to remember choreography? Are you a complete beginner? Then this is the class for you! This class (formally known as DanceFit) started in 2015 and will continue in 2020 to provide a fun, safe, and non-judgmental environment for you to let out your inner dancer! The class is a combination of aerobics, stretching, and basic dance - it may be jazz, hip hop, or contemporary - "upbeat" or "flowy". The class is a lot of fun and open to all - grab some friends and give it a go!!!
Time: Tuesdays 10:30-11:15am (currently not running) AND Wednesdays 7:15-8:00pm
STRETCH N FITNESS
Miss Zoe's offers a Stretch n Fitness class on Wednesday evenings. The class is very relaxed and fun, with everyone working to their own abilities - so you can push yourself or take it easy, whatever works best for you. Due to this all fitness levels are warmly welcomed. The class is a combination of aerobics, stretching, and toning/strengthening exercises such as crunches, lunges, push-ups, squats, etc. along with the use of weights.
Time: Wednesdays 6:30-7:15pm
Miss Zoe's School of Dance can offer private lessons for those people not feeling confident enough to dance in a group setting - do you feel uncomfortable at social occasions and want some go-to moves?! We can help with that! From learning how to move your body to the beat of the music to more complex steps, we can tailor the lessons to your ability with your goals in mind. Miss Zoe will teach a class suitable for the more experienced dancer aged 18+yrs. All ages are welcome and encouraged!
The class will be a combination of modern expressive and contemporary dance. It encourages expression and grace through exploration of movement.
Dress Code: Whatever you can move in.
Class Time: Thursday 8:30-9:30pm
This class will focus on jazz ballet technique for people aged 18 years and above; and will be focussed on developing more advanced dance skills - anyone is welcome to give it go though! It will involve both traditional and contemporary jazz routines with a fun and upbeat feel!
Class Times: Tuesday 7:30-8:30pm
This class is suitable for people who have experience in ballet, especially those who have done Pointe work previously. There will be a demi-pointe beginning of the class for one hour to strengthen technique and then it will start with the very basics of pointe work and work from there. The class will run for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Less advanced students are more than welcome to attend just the first hour at a cost of $9/class (unless you pay by the term). Younger students may take this class at invitation only.
Time: Thursday 7:00-8:30pm
SENIOR/PRE SENIOR TAP
Tap will be taught by Miss Caitlin for dancers aged 13+yrs - all ages are welcome. The class will be about fun and fitness, with everybody being encouraged to have a go! No previous tapping experience is necessary (joggers can be worn in place of tap shoes at the beginning of term) however it is encouraged. Be ready for a relaxed, casual tapping style set to funky music - think that tap is an old style of dance? Not at Miss Zoe's! Come and give it a go!
Time: We 8:00-9:00pm
SENIOR HIP HOP
Hip hop is all about attitude! It's the fun, upbeat style seen in numerous dance movies, and at Miss Zoe's everyone is encouraged to give it a go! The focus is on fun and fitness, and is best if you have danced before. It is for people aged 18+yrs. Come along and have some fun with your friends!
Our Broadway Jazz class will focus on classic-style jazz that you would see in older, classic movies and onstage in musicals – think jazz hands and lots of flair! The class will be open to teenagers and adults who want to experience a different style of jazz. All abilities are welcome!
