Preschool Fun Class
This fun-filled 30 minute class will focus on children developing simple dance skills through movement to popular children’s music and nursery rhymes. Students also love dancing with ribbons and pom poms!
Tiny Dancer Combo Class
Our Tiny Dancer Combo Class is a combination of ballet, jazz, and hip hop. It teaches the fundamentals of these three styles of dance in a fun and introductive format. Students also start to learn basic choreography.
Ballet is the fundamental dance style, with dance technique and safe dance practise at its core. Contemporary/Lyrical is ballet’s offshoot style with more free flowing expressive, yet at times dynamic movement. This class will be a combination of the two styles. At Miss Zoe’s we do not do exams, rather we focus on teaching ballet & contemporary technique in a fun, yet challenging manner.
Jazz and hip hop are both popular style of dance and at Miss Zoe’s we focus on learning jazz technique, hip hop style, and performance skills. These fun, upbeat classes make use of current popular music with a focus on age-appropriate lyrics, costuming, and choreography choices. These high-energy, physical classes are great for boys!
Boys Hip Hop
4+ years Friday 4:00-4:45pm
Exclusive Boys Hip Hop classes take the characteristics and key components of our typical Hip Hop classes whilst eliminating the intimidation of composite classes. This class will focus on the hard-hitting, grimey qualities of the NY Hip Hop scene, in a fun, all inclusive environment.
Under 10 Friday 4:45-5:30pm
Over 10 Friday 5:30-6:15pm
These fun, physical classes will teach a variety of acrobatic skills in a safe and encouraging environment – from rolls, handstands, cartwheels, & walkovers to lifts, balances and strength training. There is a big emphasis on group work and learning as a team.
Over 10 Years Dance Technique/Fitness
10-17 years Friday 6:15-7:00pm
This class will be suitable for those students wishing to extend themselves. Everyone is welcome, it is non-selective just like all of our other classes. Part of the class will draw on yoga, pilates, simple body movements and toning exercises to bring you an all-over body workout. The second part of the class is all about dance technique – kicks, turns, leaps, jumps, advanced skills. Our aim is to increase your flexibility, fitness, and coordination in a fun and upbeat environment.
All ages Days/times on arrangement
Our private lessons are suitable for all ages and can be tailored to your needs – whether it be learning routines for performances, focussing on technique, learning a new style, developing your existing skills, or even just learning how to move if you do not want to go in to a group class. Private Lessons are perfect for increasing confidence and performance skills – students develop much quicker in these lessons than in group classes. Private Lessons can be solos, duos, or trios and times/days will be subject to teacher and studio space availability. Please contact Miss Zoe ASAP if you would like to organise a time for 2019!
